The 'Developing your Academic Skills' Referencing Page contains information on referencing styles and software. This page includes links to software used for your referencing styles, and software you can download to your computer.
Referencing styles can vary depending on the discipline and the department. Consult your department for any departmental specific referencing requirements. Once you know which referencing style you are required to use we recommend that you use Cite them Right to help you reference correctly.
Common referencing styles are Harvard, APA, Vancouver (numerical), MHRA, OSSCOLA, Chicago, MLA and IEEE. More specific guidance can be found on your Subject Guide.
